The Blue Jay Sessions: Summer Nights takes place July 7-10 and will feature 24 talented musicians performing in different sessions in captivating songwriters' circles. Singers will share their original music and the stories behind their songs. It’s been a long time since most musicians have performed live, so we’ve asked them to bring some high energy anthems with them too.
You know, something that screams: “IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE PERFORMING AGAIN!”
As always, we’ll have some fun food created by talented Top Chef Canada alum Elycia Ross (full food menu HERE) and drink options including Forty Creek Whisky cocktails, plenty of Russell Brewing Co. craft beer including our very own Blue Jay Sessions beer and more.
Blue Jay Sessions: Summer Nights will also serve as a fundraiser for Skipping Stone Foundation. Partial ticket sales will be donated to the charity as well as proceeds from sales of nightly posters and limited edition t-shirts.
As things are still returning to "normal", this round of Blue Jay Sessions will take place in a cool (and covered) outdoor event space adjacent to Ill-Fated Kustoms in the Manchester Industrial area. This space boasts plenty of parking, is a short Uber ride from the heart of Calgary and a 15 minute walk from the Chinook LRT station.
Continuing to keep health and safety front-of-mind, we will be adhering to all live performance safety protocols put forward by Alberta Health Services.
