ABOUT
Liz Christensen is an Alberta-based Pop/Country Artist influenced by artists such as Kacey Musgraves and Stevie Nicks.
Her new single, "Small Town" (August 2022), is a magical, heartfelt song about growing up. “This is a song about my childhood, my hometown, my hopes, my dreams, the people I care about.” says Liz. "It's very nostalgic and it means so much to me."” "Small Town" was produced by Mark Troyer at Evergreen Sound (Calgary, AB).
Liz’s previous single, "I Really Like You" (July 2021) was a cotton candy pop bop about catching feelings for someone. Meanwhile, her singles “Summertime” (2020) and “Different Shoulders” (2020) embodied more of a rootsy, storyteller vibe. Liz released her debut single “Fences” (2018) and was a winner of 96.5 CKFM’s (Olds, Alberta) Star Search (2018).
“Liz is one of the brightest new talents on the Alberta music scene with an old soul approach to her writing that belies her age. Powerful vocals and lyrics that make you think. Liz is absolutely one to watch for!”
— Cory Noel | Program Director, CABK Broadcasting
“Albertan singer-songwriter LIZ is a fresh new voice in the Canadian prairies. The first time I heard her perform I was caught immediately by her siren-like vocal qualities and its haunting similarities to legendary Dolores O'Riordan. Farm-raised with an admirable work ethic, LIZ is poised to make real waves this year, and is an artist you'll want to keep on your radar.”
